We would like to welcome you to our website and we are very pleased that you are interested in our services and products. We are well aware that you attach great importance to having your privacy protected when you use our site. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. The following, therefore, provides information about what and how much personal data we save and how we use it in acc. with Section 13 Paragraph 1 of the ‘TMG’ [Federal Teleservices Act].
A certain amount of data is automatically collected and used when you call up information on our website. As the Internet is the way it is, such data is inevitably processed on many different servers before your enquiry reaches our web server; it is possible, therefore, that data is collected and used in a “third country” (e.g. in the USA). Our company has no influence whatsoever on such matters. Besides these technical inevitabilities, we do not transfer personal information to countries outside the framework of the EU Data Protection Directive.
The following data is collected and used to enable you to access the websites you wish to see (when you “surf” the net):
This data is stored in log files under an anonymised IP address for 7 days to ensure that our web server operates correctly; it is impossible for us, therefore, to link our visitors to the IP addresses.
Cookies are small amounts of data that are sent to your computer by your browser and stored on your hard drive. We use so-called “session cookies”. These help to create a clear link between you and our website. A randomly generated number is used to do this. The cookie is automatically deleted when you close your browser. Our website uses the following cookies:
You can disable cookies in your browser. For the most part, our website is still fully functional if you choose to do this (a unique ID is added in the URL so that you are recognised as a visitor).
You can send us a message via our contact form. The content added to this form is sent as an email to us. We only use the content of your emails to benefit you and never pass on your email address for advertising purposes. The contact form itself is not encrypted so that the information is transmitted across the Internet as plain text.
If you wish to use a secure form of transmission, then please note the following: if your email provider also has TLS encryption, simply send us an email; the email is then sent in encrypted form.
If you wish to use a secure form of transmission, then please note the following: if your email provider also has TLS encryption, simply send us an email to email@example.com; the email is then sent in encrypted form.
Our email server enables TLS encryption for all email addresses that have the format: firstname.lastname@example.org. It is, therefore, no problem to send us confidential emails. The only precondition here is that your own email server has this function; you can find out – free of charge – whether this is the case by clicking on the following link www.checktls.com
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyse how you use the site. Moreover, this website also uses Google APIs, a program interface provided by Google. This also means that data, in particular IP addresses, may be sent to Google. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is normally transmitted to a server in the United States where it is stored by Google. If IP anonymisation has been activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened within the EU member states or in other countries belonging to the European Economic Area. Complete IP addresses are only sent to a server run by Google in the USA and then shortened there in exceptional cases. Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website in order to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and Internet usage. Google does not add the IP address transmitted to Google Analytics by your browser to its other data. You can block these cookies by changing the settings of your browser software; please note, however, that some of the functions on this website may not be fully accessible if you do this. You can also prevent Google from using the cookie to collect data about the way you use our website (incl. your IP address) and from processing this data by clicking on the following link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en) and downloading and installing a browser add-on. We would like to point out here that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "anonymizeIp” to ensure that the recorded IP addresses are anonymised.
You can use a so-called opt out cookie to prevent Google Analytics collecting data about your visit by clicking on the following link: Click here to opt-out of Google Analytics
As soon as you click on the green asterisk, we add the page in question to an internal list. You can then return to these via your list of bookmarked pages. This information is stored temporarily on our web server. It is deleted as soon as you leave our website and cannot be retrieved.
Our website uses so-called social plugins for “facebook.com”, the network operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.
If one of our websites is called up via such a plugin, then a link is created to Facebook via your browser. Facebook transmits the content of the plugin to your browser and this integrates it into the Internet page. Moreover, the information is passed on to Facebook via the plugin that our website was called up via your browser. If you are logged on to Facebook on the same computer when you call up our website, then Facebook will match this to your Facebook account and link it to our website. Should you actively use the plugin, for example click on the “Like” Button or leave a comment, then this information will also be transmitted to Facebook via the plugin and stored there. To learn more about how data is collected and used by Facebook and how you can change your settings, go to: www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation
If you do not wish your data to be transmitted to Facebook as described above, then simply log out of your Facebook account before you visit our website.
Our careers page, remondis-karriere.de, offers visitors the opportunity to assess their strengths and preferences by completing the ‘Azubi-Check’ self-assessment questionnaire. Your answers are not stored on our server in any way at all. Moreover, no attempt is made at any time to match your answers to your person.
When you visit our careers page, remondis-karriere.de, you can sign up to our email service so that you receive a weekly email informing you about the vacancies at our company. The ‘double opt in’ process is used when you sign up for this service. Each email contains a hyperlink which you can click on to unsubscribe from the Jobagent email.

In addition to the voluntary information and the content of your message, we require the following information from you:
- none -
We need this information to process your request, to contact you correctly and to send you an answer. Requests received via the contact form are stored as emails and regularly checked to see whether data can be deleted. Should data no longer be required in the context of a relationship with a customer or interested party, or should the customer have a contrary interest, we will delete the data concerned not later than after 180 days, provided that this does not conflict with statutory retention obligations. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Insofar as contact is made to initiate contractual relations, the legal basis is Art. 6 para.1 lit. b) GDPR.
We only transfer your personal data to third parties if you have consented to the transfer, if the transfer is necessary for the execution of the offers or services that you wish to make use of, or if a legal authority for transfer exists and the protection of your legitimate interests is guaranteed.
With the exception of the use of Google Analytics, Google Fonts and Google Maps, no personal data collected by us will be processed in a third country. The provider of these services is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
With regard to the use of Google Analytics, Google Fonts and Google Maps, Google Inc. guarantees an appropriate level of data protection as part of its participation in the so-called “Privacy Shield” and the measures taken by Google on data protection and data security in the EU. See also the notes on Google Analytics, Google Fonts and Google Maps.
The following presentation provides an overview of third-party providers and their contents, together with links to their data protection declarations, which contain further information on the processing of data and, in some cases already mentioned here, Options for objection (so-called opt-out):

For the uniform representation of fonts we use so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. To do this, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
You can set your browser not to load fonts from Google servers (for example, by installing add-ons). If your browser does not support Google Fonts or if you block access to the Google servers, the text will be displayed in the system's default font. Please note that our website then does no longer correspond to our screen design.
In order to present our online offers in an appealing way and to make it easy to find the locations we have indicated on the website, we use the Google Maps map service via an API. To use the functions of Google Maps it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
You can find more information on the handling of user data in Google's data protection declaration: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

These serve to establish a clear connection between you and our Internet presence. Only a random number is stored for this purpose. The session cookie is automatically removed when the browser is closed.
If you do not wish to accept cookies on your computer (or another device), you can deactivate them in your Internet browser. However, this may impair the user-friendliness and functionality of the website. The legal basis for the processing of data by cookies for the purpose of operating the website is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
