REMONDIS acquires Thiess Waste Management in Australia.

Lünen, Sydney, Brisbane. REMONDIS Australia acquires 100 % of the assets of Thiess Waste Management Services, one of the leading waste management companies in Australia. Through this acquisition Remondis, one of the world’s largest water and environmental services companies, extends its market presence in Australia and is now among the top five waste management companies in the country.

Established in 1987, Thiess Waste Management is a business unit of Thiess Services owned by Leighton Holdings, a subsidiary of German Hochtief AG. Thiess Waste Management’s  service portfolio includes the operation of transfer stations, landfills, logistics depots and recycling facilities in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Thiess Waste Management generates sales of 230 million AUD and has 600 employees.
