Schwerin / Lünen. REMONDIS GmbH & Co. KG's branch responsible for the North of Germany has taken over all shares in Volker Bülow & Partner GmbH, a company based in Schenefeld near Hamburg in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, effective from 01 January 2008. The company's logistics business is located in Holthusen near Schwerin.

This medium-sized, family-run company, which was founded in 1990, is primarily active in the area of collecting and trading in scrap metal, non-ferrous metal and waste timber as well as collecting, processing and transporting paper, commercial waste and construction waste. Further disposal services for plastics, glass and file destruction round off Volker Bülow & Partner GmbH's portfolio. With this takeover, REMONDIS is looking to further extend its environmental service activities in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and throughout the whole of North Germany. To achieve this, REMONDIS has also taken over all of the 24 employees working at Volker Bülow & Partner GmbH as well as the management team.
