Lünen, Dzershinsk. The step was taken to set up a modern water and environmental service branch with the foundation of a joint PPP company with the City of Dzershinsk at the be-ginning of this year. REMONDIS would now like to thank both the city and its local inhabitants for putting their trust in the company. On 08 December 2009, RE-MONDIS board member, Egbert Tölle, handed over a donation amounting to 80,000 RUR (approx. €1,800) to Tatjana Kotchueva, the head of the rehabilitation centre for disabled children and adolescents in the City of Dzershinsk.

The rehabilitation centre, which has been specially adapted to the needs of disabled chil-dren, is also a day-care centre in which the young patients can receive individual care and support. A total of 700 disabled children living in Dzershinsk need such special care. Be-sides having a lean management system, the rehabilitation centre consists of departments providing medical and social rehabilitation care as well as a centre for psychological-pedagogical support. It carries out both national and international care work for the disabled. The team working there comprises of 11 teachers and 13 doctors and nurses. The money donated by REMONDIS Dzershinsk signals the start of a long-term sponsorship and will be invested in modernizing the facilities.

On handing over the donation, REMONDIS board member, Egbert Tölle, underlined the company's commitment towards social matters: "We are always happy to be able to give something back to the people living in the towns where we are active and we consider this donation as the beginning of a long-term sponsorship. REMONDIS is also supporting similar social projects in Saporoshje and other towns. We are well aware of our social respon-sibilities and are very pleased when we are able to help."
