Zeulenroda – aerial pictures as basis levying in charges.

The project
In 2005, the municipalities in the water board area of Wasser- und Abwasserverband Zeulenroda (WAZ) decided to introduce a split charge for rain water. In order to ascertain which areas were to be affected by the charges, digital aerial pictures were first taken of the whole area. REMONDIS then carried out an analysis of the pictures and calculated the charges.
 

 

 

The cooperation
Following a bid procedure, REMONDIS Aqua Services was assigned the task of digitalising and analysing the aerial picture data and of investigating all data relevant for the levying of charges. This also included the gathering and checking of the data and the provision of guidance and advice to the board during data preparation.
 

 

 

The most important benefits
REMONDIS Aqua Services processed the digital data quickly and at low cost. The information served as the basis for the subsequent calculation of all charges by the board.
