Wesendorf – pioneer of the operator model.

The project
The local authority of Wesendorf in Lower Saxony is located in the catchment area of Lüneburg Heath. It is one of the largest territorial units in the Gifhorn administrative district. Wesendorf opted for an operator model more than 25 years ago. The local authority is therefore regarded as being a forerunner and pioneer in public private partnerships.
 

 

 

The cooperation
The local authority of Wesendorf assigned its sewage treatment to us as long ago as 1982. Here, REMONDIS treats more than 300,000 cubic metres of sewage per year.
