Bursa – sewage treatment on the Bosporus.
The project
The sewage generated in the town of Bursa is treated by three municipal sewage treatment plants – covering 1,500,000 and 650,000 population equivalents. The seepage water from the neighbouring landfill sites is also treated there in accordance with regulations.
The cooperation
The cooperation between REMONDIS Sistem Yapi A.S., our Turkish subsidiary, and the Bursa municipal authority began in 2006. Our local enterprise is responsible for the operation of the three sewage treatment plants as part of an operations management model. The ultra-modern facilities meet all the EU’s standards. In addition, further large sewage treatment plants are operated professionally outside of Bursa.
The most important benefits
By using state-of-the-art process measuring and control engineering, REMONDIS Sistem Yapi A.S. ensures that the plants realize their full business potential. This means low prices. Furthermore, our reliable repair and maintenance work guarantees sustainable and profitable operational success.
