The project
We have been operating a variety of facilities in Bremerhaven in cooperation with the local authority since 2002. These include the central sewage treatment plant which treats both municipal sewage and wastewater from the food industry in the fishing port area.
 

 

 

The procedure
The fully biological sewage treatment plant is state-of-the-art as far as its technology is concerned. REMONDIS Aqua uses a multi-stage treatment procedure at the plant. The sludge produced is recycled in a modern biogas facility and used to generate energy.
