The project
Within the framework of a contracting model concluded with Henkel in 1992, we have since been treating Henkel's laundry detergent production wastewater in Genthin. In addition to this, the plant offers capacities for municipal and industrial wastewater – e.g. from a large-scale laundry and from companies in the plastics industry. The plant is characterised by its high levels of efficiency.
 

 

 

The procedure
The wastewater at the Genthin laundry detergent plant results first and foremost from surfactant production. It is treated perfectly by means of a multi-stage cascading procedure. In a biogas facility, moreover, we recover energy from waste substances and organically highly concentrated residual currents.

The company in Genthin is a subsidiary of Hansa Group AG, an internationally operating specialty chemicals company which took over the core of the Henkel plant in Genthin in 2009.
