EuroCoin AG, Schwerte – tailor-made for exemplary water management.

The project
The production of coin blanks results in extremely complex wastewater. In order to capture and treat this water, EuroCoin concluded a company partnership with REMONDIS Aqua in 2002. Initially, they concluded a management contract in order to safeguard the stable operation of the wastewater treatment plant in the short term. On the basis of this first step, the company then entrusted us with the task of drawing up a new water management concept for the Schwerte site in 2002.
 

 

 

The procedure
We developed the RECOMPLEX process for this renowned producer of blanks for the euro coins. In this process, the heavy metals are removed by means of a redox measurement, thereby facilitating selective and chemical-intensive treatment.
